Ms. Dana Seetahal SC
Born on July 8, 1955 Dana Seetahal was an attorney-at-law with over 30 years’ experience. She received a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from The UWI in 1977 and was later awarded the Legal Professional Certificate from affiliate the Hugh Wooding Law School in 1979 when she was called to the bar. Appointed a Senior Counsel in 2006, Ms. Seetahal served two Parliamentary terms (2002 - 2010) as an Independent Senator. In her legal Career she served as an Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions and Assistant Solicitor General before entering private practice. She is a Fulbright scholar, and has also been a United Nations Human Rights Fellow and a Commonwealth Foundation Fellow. Additionally, Ms. Seetahal has acted as a criminal justice consultant to governments across the region and various international bodies.
